I was born and raised in northern New Jersey. I am a high school science teacher, wrestling coach, Sunday school teacher, husband and father.
I am active in sports, I currently compete in open water swim events, play volleyball in a league and help coach my children’s soccer and softball teams.
Creativity and Imagination have always been motivating forces in my life. When I was young, drawing Star Wars space battles, building with Lego bricks and acting out scenes for hours occupied most of my free time. Later realistic colored pencil drawings, and scratch models made from manila folders and masking tape satisfied my needs. Recently I began to write screen plays, and now magazine collage.
Collage is somewhat freeing. I am forced to be less exact when choosing what magazine images to use. However, I find myself constantly fighting with my need to make it look realistic. I believe my collage style shows this inner battle.
I started doing magazine collage with my Sunday school class for an icon project. The results were fantastic and the response was positive. In spring of 2016 I decided to do my own. I dedicated countless hours and produced 30 pieces, challenging myself with different styles and techniques and images.
In the Fall of 2016, I entered the Bergen County Arts in the Park festival sold my first pieces and became a professional artist.
